Eric M. Gashin
Eric M. Gashin began his career at Walter & Shuffain immediately after graduating from Bentley University with his BS in accounting in 1999. While working with the firm, he went on to earn his MBA from Babson College in 2007. Eric quickly became a highly regarded member of the team, establishing himself by offering our clients an unprecedented level of service as well as a willingness to share candid, well-researched expectations and unbiased views. When Walter & Shuffain introduced our Shareholder-in-Training program in 2009, Eric’s already-successful tenure with the firm ensured his invitation to participate. After completing the program in January of 2013, he became a company shareholder.
Because of his forward approach, Eric has become a trusted advisor to a wide range of the firm’s clients who have come to rely on his counsel. He offers consulting, tax and accounting services to privately-held middle market businesses in the real estate, construction, software and technology, life sciences and manufacturing industries, as well as to individual clients.
Having experienced Walter & Shuffain from the ground up, Eric puts himself forward as a willing leader who embraces a door-always-open policy at the office and enjoys working with the firm’s newer team members.
Outside of work, Eric is an avid athlete who enjoys golf, skiing and running. He also serves on the boards of directors for several nonprofits, including an executive committee. Eric currently resides in Brookline with his wife Jessica and daughter Talia.
Eric is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants
